There is nothing like a painted portrait...

Picture
Painted portraits capture an image like no other medium. While viewing a portrait, it is possible to feel as if you are in the very presence of the subject(s) depicted. The artwork should reflect not only a likeness, but the personality and the mood of the moment as well. An investment in a painted portrait is one that will be cherished and enjoyed for generations.

The majority of my commissioned portraits are done in oil on canvas. I believe that medium offers clients my best as an artist. Portraits in watercolor can be done in some instances for the same costs. However, framing for watercolor portraits is a greater expense for clients. Portrait sculptures in bronze can be now be commissioned for pets and horses. Each would have to be considered individually as I have no price base in general for such work. Portraits of people in bronze is a future goal. Thank you to all portrait clients past and future!

All requests for a commissioned portrait are assessed individually before a price is quoted. Portrait commissions are taken and worked on in the order in which they are received. Most works are completed within six weeks of being commissioned. Quoted prices are final. A minimum of 25% is required as a down payment and is not refundable. Payments can be made at the discretion of the client but portraits must be paid in full at the time they are received. Payments can also be made through PayPal.

*Portrait prices vary slightly according to subject difficulty. Subject difficulty is most often determined by the detail in background and clothing, etc. Portrait prices do not include framing.
